Sian and all her friends had a truly wonderful time! They all loved it and were apparently talking about it lots at school today. They all thought you and Leilani were great!
A's mum came up and said how despite her saying she wasn't too keen on going to a fairy party, she hasn't stopped talking about it since and took her fairy dust to school today (as did a few of the others!)
I might have to have a few fairy lessons myself to keep up!
Thank you for making Sian's 7th birthday party one to remember forever!
We all had a wonderful time! (I was just sorry I missed some of it while I was busying myself in the kitchen!)
Thank you both very much.
Alison

PS I might have to come and get the 15th party bag as the girl who was ill is sure to want one when the others are all talking about it!

What I've learnt about Fairy Parties
- Allow yourself to indulge in the magical.
- Accommodate the doubters - my husband was one of these and I bought him a T-shirt from fairylove.com to wear on the day that said 'Elf and safety'. He loved it and spent the day carrying a fake walky-talky and telling people to mind their step!
- Games that don't single out children for prizes are not only possible, they are more relaxed and enjoyable for everyone.
- Gems are a whole load more precious to children than sweets.
- Boys love fairies too, but they need to move about all the time and less keen on structure so try to make sure there's space and opportunity to let them do this.
- Give out party bags only when the children are on their way out of the door!
- The Fairy Godmother's party bags are an absolute delight. They are non-gender specific: the boys adored their fairy dust necklaces, their little pewter pixies, their crystal bracelets and even the heart-shaped soaps. And they are non-age specific: they were loved by all the children - from 2 to 18 year-olds - and mums looked on enviously too. I wish I had ordered a few more to give to the mums that had helped me on the day.

Having just been to one of your parties I felt compelled to check out your website immediately! What a beautifully calm, magical atmosphere you engender. My son and daughter loved it, such an antidote to the usual hysteria of children's parties. I only wish i'd joined in more, rather than making the most of the chance to escape for a cup of tea and a natter!

I am so sorry for not contacting you sooner but I want to say a belated thank you for Maya’s birthday party. The children all had a fantastic time (and so did I). Testament to a good party that mine still talk about it nearly two months later.
If you need to use me for a reference at all then please do and I will market you with the people I know.
Thanks again

Here is a big thank you from us all for a fabulous party! Everybody had a fabulous time and I have had great feedback from the girls' mothers, saying how much their daughters enjoyed it and how much they all loved your party bags! "It was lovely to bring the magic back" was one mother's comment. Despite the girls being 8, thinking they might be "over the fairy stage", they all got captivated the whole time. You can see from their beaming faces on the picture how much they enjoyed themselves. I am just sorry I couldn't take more part in it all due to the catering duties!
I truly hope more parties come your way, I would always recommend you to anyone.

My friend Karen Puttick has just started to organise and provide parties
( and I am sure its not just restricted to girls) and I do not recommend
her lightly nor has she asked me to do this email. Amee, my daughter who
is now 12, went to Karen's daughter's party yesterday at their home and
absolutely loved it. They play traditional and non traditional games but
I am already in awe of Karen as she kept sixteen 12 year olds
entertained and happy for 2 hours without resorting to threats nor bribes!
So if that is not high praise, I don't know what is!

Karen's Fairyland Parties captivate children and adults alike.
How wonderful for those parents with tinies to know Karen will weave her magic and provide a fairytale experience for the little darlings, with little effort from the parental overseers smile
Wishing you all the luck with the new venture Karen. Knowing you, I know it will be more than popular and if I had little ones, I'd definitely be booking you!
